Silver Spoon Kitchen delivers home-cooked meals and weekly companion visits to homebound and isolated seniors across Dane County, Wisconsin — so no neighbor eats alone.
Our Mission
Many Madison seniors live alone, can no longer cook safely, and go days without seeing another person. Silver Spoon Kitchen pairs a nutritious, dietitian-approved meal with a knock on the door and a few minutes of conversation — a daily wellness check that keeps older neighbors fed, safe, and connected.
What We Do
Hot, home-delivered meals five days a week, planned by our dietitian and driven door-to-door by volunteers across Dane County.
A trained volunteer shares a weekly companion visit and meal — easing isolation and quietly checking that all is well at home.
Special holiday meals and check-ins through the long Wisconsin winter, so no senior spends Thanksgiving or the holidays alone.
Where We Work
Our community kitchen sits just off State Street in downtown Madison. From there, volunteer drivers fan out daily to Fitchburg, Sun Prairie, Middleton, Stoughton, and the rural townships in between — partnering with the county Aging & Disability Resource Center and local clinics to reach the neighbors who need us most.
